Twin City Roofing & Sheet Metal is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Commercial Roofing Manager to oversee all aspects of our commercial roofing operations. This individual will lead production teams, manage project managers and superintendents, coordinate scheduling, maintain customer relationships, drive profitability, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with extensive commercial roofing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building high-performing teams while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee all commercial roofing projects from contract award through final completion.
Direct project managers, superintendents, foremen, and field personnel.
Develop project schedules and manpower plans.
Coordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues.
Ensure efficient utilization of company resources.
Leadership
Recruit, train, mentor, and develop roofing personnel.
Conduct regular performance evaluations.
Hold team members accountable for safety, productivity, and quality.
Foster a culture centered on teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Lead weekly production meetings.
Financial Management
Review project budgets and monitor profitability.
Manage labor productivity and job costs.
Approve purchase orders and major expenditures.
Identify opportunities to improve margins through operational efficiencies.
Work closely with estimating to ensure successful project handoffs.
Customer Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for major commercial clients.
Build long-term relationships with property owners, general contractors, developers, municipalities, schools, and industrial customers.
Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
Conduct project close-out meetings and ensure customer satisfaction.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure strict compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Conduct regular safety meetings and jobsite inspections.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Quality Control
Maintain the highest standards of workmanship.
Perform regular quality inspections.
Ensure all manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements are followed.
Oversee punch lists and warranty work.
Scheduling & Production
Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules.
Balance manpower between multiple active projects.
Minimize downtime and maximize crew productivity.
Monitor equipment utilization.
Business Development Support
Assist with customer presentations.
Support estimating during pre-construction.
Identify opportunities for repeat business.
Build relationships with architects, engineers, property managers, and general contractors.
The Commercial Roofing Manager will be expected to:
